Learning Screen

After initial skepticism regarding the method of the learning screen, I believe it definitely has its merits, as does the traditional research paper.  After creating this blog, its apparent that the learning screen method lends itself to a more personal approach towards the subject.  The type of research involved with the learning screen is very personalized towards the author.  Unlike traditional research papers that require outside resources to validate claims, the learning screen’s outside resource is the author himself.  I found that I learned more about myself, my personal aesthetic, and my tendencies toward literature through completion of the learning screen than I have in construction of research papers for past English courses.   However, I still respect the concreteness of a more traditional type of learning.  I think a proper blend between the academic approach to a research paper and the artistic approach to the learning screen would be ideal.
